Kindness of a random stranger

How often would someone shows kindness to unfamiliar faces?I have met someone who does,by chance.

My eye sight has always been a trouble to drive at night.I get nervous and careless as the day goes dark.It was just yesterday ,i forgot completely to turn on the car’s lights and drove to the busy streets…dangerously ! I was not aware of that ,until to a very surprising moment,a man on motorbike slowed down and showed ‘handsign’ panickly.My buddy who sat next to me saw his strange gestures and quickly notified me.Herself too hasn’t got a clue that we were so careless earlier.As i turned on the light,the kind man gave us a ‘Thumb up’ and skidded away to his destination.I’m really thankful and touch by his kindness as he might have saved me from a possible accident.However,there’s a question arises..

Why did he even bother ?

It got me thinking about a lot of things then.Other drivers didn’t bother to remind us?Or they did but we missed it? else had they noticed the situation but choose to ignore? I’m not ranting about anything at all.After-all if you can’t take care of yourself,it doesn’t make sense for other to do so for your sake.

But that stranger guy acted differently.He cares and he acts upon it.Then i asked myself,why didn’t i stop for the poor kitten that earlier morning?I saw that poor creature on road with risk of getting run over but i gave a reason to brush it off.

“i was in hurry for work”

“People could have avoided her”

If there are more people like me, who acts as if everything will goes fine eventually and doesn’t bother to care,then everyone would be best describes as small atoms who pass by/bump on each other without chances to bonding.The end result,there is nothing solid to adore or cherish.
